The history of I-mold dates back to the year 1998 when the company was founded as Exacon GmbH & Co. KG, a provider of services to the plastic processing industry. Initially, the business focus was on the development and design of tunnel gate inserts. The company has been engaged in the development and manufacturing of tunnel gate inserts since 1998. In 2004, Exacon GmbH & Co. KG was renamed I-mold GmbH & Co. KG and the product range was extended by adding hot-runner technology. Now they offer both cold- and hot-runner technology. Their tunnel gate inserts are simple in design and easy to use. They are offered in a wide range of models and sizes. Therefore, I-mold’s tunnel gate inserts are a “favourite” of many injection mold makers.
